Competition Rules
Complete guide to how each competition type works, scoring systems, and fair play policies
Quick Navigation
Correct Score
Predict the exact final scores of multiple matches to accumulate points.
How to Play
- Predict exact final scores for all selected matches
- Highest total points across all matches wins
- Ties are broken by: 1) Most exact score predictions, 2) Lowest goal difference, 3) Earliest entry
Scoring System
- Exact score prediction: 7 points
- Correct result (win/draw/lose) but wrong score: 3 points
- One team's score exactly 1 goal off (other team exact) but wrong result: 1 point
- Wrong result and score: 0 points
Example Scoring
Tie-Breaker Examples
Scenario: Two users both have 30 points and 2 exact score predictions each.
Tie-breaker 1: Exact Scores - Both have 2 exact scores, so we move to tie-breaker 2.
Tie-breaker 2: Goal Difference - Total goals predicted vs actual goals. Match: Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal (3 total goals).
User A predicts: Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal (4 total goals) → 4 minus 3 = 1 goal difference
User B predicts: Chelsea 4-0 Arsenal (4 total goals) → 4 minus 3 = 1 goal difference
Both have difference of 1, so earliest entry wins (tie-breaker 3).
Cancelled/Postponed Matches
- Cancelled matches are excluded from scoring - you receive 0 points (not penalized)
- Winners determined by highest points from remaining matches
- For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions
GAA Correct Score
Predict the exact GAA final score in goals-points format to earn points based on accuracy.
How to Play
- Predict the exact final score for each team in goals-points format
- Enter score as: Team A Goals-Points vs Team B Goals-Points
- Example: Dublin 2-10 vs Kerry 1-12
- Points are awarded based on prediction accuracy
- Highest total points wins
- Ties are broken by: 1) Lowest score difference, 2) Earliest entry
Scoring System
- Exact match (goals AND points correct): 5 points
- Correct total score (wrong goals/points split): 3 points
- Correct result (win/draw/lose) only: 1 point
- Wrong result and score: 0 points
- Note: Goals = 3 points, Points = 1 point in GAA scoring
Example Scoring
Tie-Breaker Examples
Scenario: Two users both have 3 points (correct result). Match: Dublin 2-10 (16 pts) vs Kerry 1-12 (15 pts) = 31 total points.
User A predicts: Dublin 2-11 (17 pts) vs Kerry 1-12 (15 pts) = 32 total → 32 minus 31 = 1 difference
User B predicts: Dublin 3-07 (16 pts) vs Kerry 2-09 (15 pts) = 31 total → 31 minus 31 = 0 difference
Winner: User B wins (lower score difference is better)
Important Notes
- Enter scores in goals-points format (e.g., 2-10 not 2-16 total)
- Remember: 1 goal = 3 points when calculating totals
Cancelled/Postponed Matches
- Cancelled matches are automatically replaced with the next available GAA match in the same league
- Your predictions transfer to the new match (home/away format)
- Competition deadline extended to 2 hours before new match
- If no replacement available, competition is cancelled and organiser may issue refunds
- For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions
Golden Goal
Have the exact minute when the first goal will be scored in a football match.
How to Play
- You can buy multiple entries
- You will be assigned 1 random minute for each entry (0-90)
- No goal scored: 0 minute wins
- Goal in 90+ minute: 90 minute wins
- Entry with the closest minute to the actual first goal wins
- If multiple participants are equally close to exact minute, the pot is split equally
- If multiple participants have the exact minute, the pot is split equally
Pricing & Discounts
- One minute costs the base entry fee
- Buy multiple entries and save 10% off the total
Example Scenario
Important Notes
Cancelled/Postponed Matches
- If the match is cancelled the winning minute is set to 0 (same as no goal scored)
- Participants with minute 0 or closest to 0 win
- For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions
Perfect Strike
Predict Win/Draw/Win for 8-10 matches. Get them all right to win or share the rolling jackpot!
How to Play
- Organiser selects the difficulty: Perfect 8, Perfect 9, or Perfect 10
- You predict Win/Draw/Win for each match
- Get ALL predictions correct to win the jackpot
- Multiple perfect winners share the prize equally
- If no one gets all correct, the jackpot rolls over
- If jackpot is not won, Consolation Goal is enabled if set by organiser)
Prize Distribution
- Custom prize set by organiser (not dependent on pot)
- Designed as a rolling jackpot competition
- Multiple winners share the prize equally
Consolation Goal (Optional)
- Organiser can enable an optional Consolation Goal prize
- Awarded when NO perfect predictions exist
- Goes to the participant(s) with the highest score (most correct predictions)
- If multiple participants tie: tie-breaker score used first (Home Win=1, Away Win=2, Draw=3), then earliest entry wins
- Creates a 'Consolation Goal' award distinct from the main 'Perfect Striker' jackpot
- Ensures there's still an exciting winner even in difficult rounds
Example Scenario
Important Notes
- Perfect Strike is all-or-nothing: you must get ALL predictions correct to win the jackpot
- Multiple perfect winners share the jackpot equally - no tie-breaker for perfect scores
- Consolation Goal uses tie-breaker score, then entry time - ensures fair winner selection
- Unlike points-based competitions, one wrong prediction means you don't win the jackpot
Cancelled/Postponed Matches
- If matches are cancelled, the required predictions are reduced
- Example: Perfect 8 with 1 cancelled match becomes Perfect 7
- Winners need all remaining predictions correct
- For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions
